- Cancel DoCurrencies and explore other paid apps such as Currency-R8
What's new in DoCurrencies V2?
DoCurrencies V2 is built on HubSpot's latest UI Extensions technology, bringing a more capable and flexible experience:
- Choose your own currency rate provider from three options
- Fine-tuned controls in your app settings screen
- Interactive App Cards on deals (coming soon)
Instead of rates being sourced automatically from a single provider, you now connect your own API key from your chosen provider. This gives you control over your data source, cost, and update frequency.
Which option is right for me?
Option 1 — Stay with DoCurrencies (Recommended)
DoCurrencies updates your HubSpot currency rates every day, keeping your deal pipeline and forecasts accurate at all times. If your business operates across multiple currencies and accuracy matters to your team daily, DoCurrencies remains the most capable option.
From 1st March 2026, you will need to:
- Subscribe to DoCurrencies at your preferred currency (see pricing below)
- Connect your own currency rate provider (free or paid options available — see below)

Option 2 — Switch to HubSpot's native scheduled rates (Free)
HubSpot offers automatic exchange rate updates, powered by Open Exchange Rates, on a monthly, quarterly, or annual schedule. This is a good fit if your business only needs occasional rate updates and monthly accuracy is sufficient.
Important limitations to be aware of:
- Updates are monthly at most — not daily
- Once enabled, HubSpot locks supported currencies to automatic updates and you cannot manually adjust those rates
- Some currencies may not be supported

Option 3 — Try another paid app or create your own
If DoCurrencies isn't the right fit, you can explore other paid apps on the HubSpot Marketplace or work with a trusted HubSpot partner like HubDo to build a custom currency app tailored to your requirements.
How do I connect my provider?
Open your DoCurrencies App Settings screen inside HubSpot. If you can see a Change button next to your connected portal, you are already on the new DoCurrencies V2 — click it to select a provider and enter your API key or App ID.
You can do this now, before 1st March 2026, while DoCurrencies is still free.
If you do not see the Change button, you are still on the legacy free version of DoCurrencies. You do not need to take any action right now — we will be in touch as your account is migrated to V2.
Choosing a currency rate provider
Three providers are supported as of March 2026. All three work with DoCurrencies. Click Change on your settings screen to select a provider, then follow the steps below to get your key and connect.
Note: Most providers call their token an "API Key" — but openexchangerates.org calls theirs an "App ID." The DoCurrencies settings screen reflects this difference automatically depending on which provider you select, so you will always be prompted for the right thing.
exchangerate-api.com — Free plan, any base currency
ExchangeRate-API has been providing reliable currency data since 2010. Their free plan supports any base currency with daily updates — making it a great starting point for most DoCurrencies users. A paid Pro plan ($10/month) is available for hourly updates.

- Sign up at exchangerate-api.com and copy your API Key from your account settings
- In DoCurrencies, click Change, select exchangerate-api.com and paste your API Key
- Click Connect

openexchangerates.org — Free plan for USD base currency
Open Exchange Rates has served developers and businesses since 2011 and is the same provider that powers HubSpot's own native scheduled rate updates. Their free plan works well if your HubSpot company currency is USD. If your base currency is anything other than USD, their Developer plan is $12/month.
Note: openexchangerates.org calls their token an App ID, not an API Key. You will find it in your openexchangerates.org account settings.

- In DoCurrencies, click Change, select openexchangerates.org and paste your App ID
- Click Connect

currencyapi.com — Paid only, from $9.99/month
currencyapi.com was DoCurrencies' original provider of choice — selected for its reliability and comprehensive coverage when HubSpot offered no automatic currency updates. No free plan is available, but their Small plan at $9.99/month offers 15,000 requests/month with hourly updates and commercial use rights.
