Does DoPricer work with HubSpot Quotes?
Yes — DoPricer can automatically apply prices and discounts to line items added to HubSpot Quotes, in the same way it does for Deals.
There are a few things worth knowing about how it works and how to get the best results.
Quote support is on by default
DoPricer processes Quotes by default when it is installed. This can be turned on or off for your portal at any time. If you want DoPricer to ignore Quotes and only act on Deals — or vice versa — contact HubDo Support and we'll adjust your settings.
The recommended workflow: add line items to the Deal first
The smoothest way to use DoPricer with Quotes is to add your line items to the Deal before creating the Quote:
- Open the Deal and add your line items using Add Line Item
- Click Save
- Wait 7–8 seconds for DoPricer to apply the correct prices in the background
- Press browser refresh to see the updated prices on screen
- Confirm the prices look correct on the Deal
- Click Create Quote — the line items carry across with DoPricer's pricing already applied
When DoPricer detects those line items on the newly created Quote, it sees that pricing has already been applied and skips reprocessing them. Nothing changes, and you have full visibility of the correct prices throughout.
Adding line items directly in Quote Builder
It is also possible to add line items inside HubSpot's Quote Builder directly. DoPricer will detect and process them. However, Quote Builder has a behaviour that requires a little extra care:
- Quote Builder autosaves line item data back to HubSpot every few seconds
- It does not re-fetch updated data from HubSpot between saves — it writes what it currently has on screen
- DoPricer updates prices in the background, but Quote Builder does not know this has happened
- If you continue editing in Quote Builder without refreshing, it may write stale (pre-DoPricer) prices back over the correct ones
The fix is straightforward: press browser refresh after adding line items in Quote Builder. This exits Quote Builder and takes you back to the Deal. Reopen the Quote and you will see DoPricer's applied prices correctly.
Note: Even if a rep never refreshes and proceeds all the way to publishing, the published Quote will contain DoPricer's correct prices — because HubSpot reads from its own data at the point of publishing. The risk is that the rep does not see the final prices during their workflow, which can cause surprises. Refreshing eliminates this.
Price Lock is on by default for Quotes
To protect against the Quote Builder autosave issue, DoPricer's Price Lock feature is enabled for Quotes by default. Price Lock monitors line items and re-applies the DoPricer price if it detects the price has been changed.
This means that even if Quote Builder writes a stale price back to HubSpot, DoPricer will restore the correct price. Price Lock does not count toward your subscription usage — it is triggered by price change events, not new line item creation.
If you want Price Lock turned off for Quotes — for example, because you need reps to be able to manually adjust prices at Quote level — contact HubDo Support.
Which plan do I need?
Quote support is included in all DoPricer plans. There is one edition of DoPricer with all features included — pricing is based solely on the number of new line items your portal creates each month.
