Why isn't DoPricer applying company discounts or prices to new line items?
Checklist to ensure DoPricer CPQ is setup correctly:
- Is DoPricer turned on at your master switch?
- DoPricer is not working on Quote Line Items
- Is DoPricer enabled on the Company level?
- Check the "DoPricer Discount Message" column and "Discount Always Empty" setting
Scenario 1: DoPricer Master Switch
Scenario sounds like this: I've uploaded all my Companies with discounts we offer them. They are displaying under categories, however, the discount is not being added to the line item after a refresh. Not sure if I've missed something.
Solution: Make sure DoPricer is turned ON
- Check HubSpot Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps > DoPricer
- The DoPricer Master Switch is normally ON unless you switch it OFF or your subscription lapses. If you cannot switch DoPricer CPQ ON, contact support@hubdo.com
- Ensure the Company Property "DoPricer Enabled" = ON
- This property needs to be ON for each company that you want DoPricer to use for processing line item discounts and/or prices.
- You can enable DoPricer:
- manually on each company,
- in batches on the Companies DoPricer view, or
- using a Workflow automation
Scenario 2: DoPricer is not working on Quote Line Items
Scenario sounds like this: I am creating new line items in a Quote but DoPricer is not applying discounts or prices to any line items. I checked the company and the correct discounts and prices are set and DoPricer is enabled.
Solution: Create line items on the Deal before creating Quotes.
- DoPricer does not detect or edit new line items when added directly in the HubSpot Quote builder. (Consider DoQuotes beta — contact support@hubdo.com)
- Add new line items to the Deal.
- Wait a few seconds and refresh to see the DoPricer discounts and price changes.
- Create your quote(s).
- New quotes will include the correct prices for this customer company.
Scenario 3: Is DoPricer enabled on that Company?
Scenario sounds like this: It's not working! I've got a discount on the Company but there's no discount appearing.
Solution: Ensure the DoPricer Enabled property is ON on the Company record.
Open the Company record in HubSpot and confirm that the DoPricer Enabled property is set to ON. This must be enabled individually for each company you want DoPricer to process.
Scenario 4: Check the "DoPricer Discount Message" column and "Discount Always Empty" setting
Scenario sounds like this: I've tried everything else but I still can't see the discount I applied to this Company.
Solution: First, add the "DoPricer Discount Message" column to your line item view.
On the line item display, add the column DoPricer Discount Message via "Edit columns". This will show you exactly what DoPricer did (or didn't do) for each line item.
Once you can see the Discount Message column, check what value appears. If it says Discount Always Empty, here's what to do:
- Open the product in your product library and check the Discount Always Empty field.
- Leave this field blank by default. This feature will only block discounts if set to Yes.
Still not seeing discounts after checking all of the above?
Once you have followed the steps above and checked all the settings, add the line items again as new items. Previous or existing line items have already been processed, so adding them again will refresh the system and apply the correct discount.
