How easy is it to set up, integrate DoPricer CPQ with my HubSpot portal?
For most HubSpot users, getting DoPricer CPQ live is a same-day job — no developers, no data migration, and no changes to how your team works.
DoPricer is built specifically for HubSpot and installs directly from the HubSpot App Marketplace. There's no separate platform to learn, no API keys to configure, and no developer required. Here's what the setup process actually looks like.
Step 1: Install from the HubSpot App Marketplace
DoPricer is a native HubSpot marketplace application. You install it directly from the HubSpot App Marketplace in a few clicks, just like any other HubSpot integration. Once installed, DoPricer connects to your portal automatically — no manual API configuration needed.
From this point, DoPricer is live and listening to your portal. It detects new line items via HubSpot webhooks, processes them in the background, and applies the correct pricing rules within seconds.
Step 2: DoPricer Creates the Properties It Needs
One of the things that makes DoPricer genuinely easy to set up is that it creates the HubSpot properties it needs automatically on installation. You don't need to build any custom fields beforehand.
On your Company records, DoPricer adds:
- DoPricer Enabled — a simple on/off toggle that controls whether DoPricer applies pricing for each company
- Discount by Product Items — for per-SKU discount rules
- Discount Default — a fallback discount percentage for companies without more specific rules
On your Product library, DoPricer adds:
- DoPricer Discount Always Empty — marks specific products (like delivery charges or service fees) as permanently non-discountable
- DoPricer Discount Message and DoPricer Price Message — status properties that record what DoPricer did to each line item
On your Line Items, DoPricer also adds the same Discount Message and Price Message properties, so you always have a clear audit trail of every pricing decision made.
All of these properties appear in a dedicated "DoPricer" property group within HubSpot, keeping your data organised and separate from your existing properties.
Step 3: Configure Pricing Rules on Your Companies
Once installed, the main configuration task is setting up your pricing rules on your company records in HubSpot. This is done directly in your existing CRM — no new interface to navigate.
For each customer company, you simply:
- Turn DoPricer on using the DoPricer Enabled dropdown
- Set discount rules — either a default discount percentage, per-SKU discounts, or both
That's it for a basic discount-based setup. When a sales rep adds a product to a deal, DoPricer automatically looks up the company, finds the right discount, and applies it — no rep intervention needed.
What If You Need Custom Price Lists?
If you sell to customers at custom prices rather than (or in addition to) percentage discounts, DoPricer supports that too — but this part of the setup requires a brief conversation with HubDo Support.
Custom price list properties need to be created in your HubSpot product library (one property per price list per currency), and the DoPricer Pricelist dropdown on your company records needs to be configured to match. HubDo Support handles this with you to make sure the naming conventions and currency settings are correct from the start.
Once in place, the experience is just as seamless: DoPricer reads the custom price from the product library and applies it to the line item automatically, matching on currency so the right price is always used.
How Does DoPricer Fit Into Your Existing Workflow?
Because DoPricer operates entirely in the background via webhooks, it doesn't change how your sales reps work in HubSpot. They continue creating deals, adding products, and building quotes exactly as before. The difference is that the correct price appears automatically — they don't need to know what discount or price list each customer is entitled to.
The one small habit to form: press browser refresh after adding line items. DoPricer updates the data in HubSpot within a few seconds, but HubSpot's own UI doesn't auto-refresh to show those changes. A quick refresh and the correct prices are on screen, ready to review.
Does It Work with Quotes as Well as Deals?
Yes — DoPricer can process line items on both Deals and Quotes. Processing for Quotes can be toggled on or off per portal, so if you only use Deals, you can keep things simple. The choice is yours, and it can be changed at any time. See our related article "Does DoPricer Work With HubSpot Quotes?"
Start with the Free Trial
DoPricer offers a 14-day free trial, and all features are available from day one. The trial also includes a built-in line item volume checker, so you can understand your actual portal activity and pick the right plan before committing. The trial includes an initial allowance of 500 line items — more than enough to test the full workflow with real data.
When you're ready to move to a paid plan, simply choose your tier and you're up and running. No re-installation, no data migration — the same setup continues seamlessly.
Summary
DoPricer integrates with HubSpot in minutes, not days. Installation is marketplace-based, properties are created automatically, and your sales reps don't need to change how they work. For most teams, a basic discount-based setup can be completed on the same day as installation. Custom price list configuration takes a little longer but is handled with support from the HubDo team.
