What are Auto-Generated Documents?
Auto-Generated Documents (also known as API-driven documents) are dynamic, template-based files—such as PDFs, proposals, or contracts — created instantly when data is submitted through an external source. Unlike standard PandaDoc usage, these documents do not require a user to log in and manually draft a file.
How it Works: The Automation Workflow
The process leverages PandaDoc’s Document Generation API to map data from your existing tools directly into professional templates.
The Trigger: An action occurs in a web form (e.g., Typeform, Jotform), a CRM (e.g., HubSpot), or a custom external application.
Data Mapping: The submitted data is automatically sent to the API, which matches fields to your pre-configured PandaDoc templates.
Instant Generation: The document is created immediately, populated with the
correct variables, and can be sent for signature or stored automatically.

Standard PandaDoc pricing for API-driven documents is typically $2.00 USD per document created. HubDo offers a reduced cost of 50c per document for our agencies and customers, allowing you to scale your automation more affordably.
Billing Cycle
Post-Paid Model: Charges are billed monthly in arrears.
Usage-Based: You only pay for what you use. We track the volume of documents created via API automation (distinct from your user license activities) and bill you at the end of each monthly cycle.
License Distinction: These charges apply specifically to documents created via API automation, not those generated manually by a licensed user in the PandaDoc interface.

ensure your API keys and templates are correctly organized to ensure
accurate usage reporting across your sub-accounts.
