About DoQuotes
DoQuotes has two halves, and this guide covers the first one: installing the main app and creating quotes from a deal record.
The DoQuotes card on a deal record creates, clones, publishes, recalls and numbers quotes, and can create one quote per reseller or partner on the same deal (Multi-Quote). This half works on any HubSpot portal that has quotes — no particular hub or tier is required. It's installed once per portal from the HubSpot App Marketplace, and every feature is free to try for 14 days with unlimited quotes and no card required.
Note: If you're specifically looking to add DoQuotes' buyer-facing Field and Layout modules to a Revenue Hub quote template — the modules a buyer fills in directly on the published quote — that needs a separate, more technical set-up covered in its own guide: Set-Up Guide: How to install DoQuotes Modules for Revenue Hub Quotes. Most portals install this main app first and add the modules later, if at all.
Not sure which parts of DoQuotes your HubSpot subscription supports? See Which HubSpot subscription do I need for DoQuotes?
Part A: Install and connect
1. Install DoQuotes from the HubSpot Marketplace
- Open the DoQuotes listing on the HubSpot App Marketplace and click Install.
- Choose which HubSpot portal to install into, and approve the requested permissions when prompted.
- This starts your 14-day free trial automatically — every feature unlocked, unlimited quotes, no card required. Nothing converts automatically at the end of the trial: you're only charged if you actively choose a plan.
Note: You'll need to be a Super Admin in the HubSpot portal to install an app.
2. Confirm DoQuotes is switched on
- In HubSpot, go to Settings → Integrations → Connected Apps, and open DoQuotes.
- Confirm the DoQuotes master switch is ON.
Tip: If you plan to stop using DoQuotes later, note that switching off the master switch, or uninstalling the app, is not the same as cancelling your subscription. See the DoQuotes End User Licence Agreement for what each one does.
3. Connect your Service Key
Drafted ahead of release: this step ships with DoQuotes' upgraded Generation-2 Modules support. The mechanism below — a HubSpot Service Key you generate and paste in — is correct, but the exact screen and wording will be confirmed against the live release before this guide is published.
- In HubSpot, generate a Service Key for this portal.
- Copy the key.
- In DoQuotes' own settings screen, paste it into the Service Key field and save.
- The first time you connect, DoQuotes creates one hidden property on your Quote object automatically — this is expected. It stores DoQuotes' own internal state, not a buyer's answer.
DoQuotes uses your Service Key to write buyer answers back to your Quote, Deal and Company properties. Full detail on what DoQuotes stores is in the DoQuotes End User Licence Agreement.
Part B: Quote actions on the deal record
4. Set your quote number prefix and sequence
- In DoQuotes' settings (the same Connected Apps → DoQuotes screen as step 2), find quote numbering.
- Set a prefix (for example
Q), a number length, and the next number to use. - The live preview shows the exact quote number this will produce, for example
Q00123.
Every quote DoQuotes creates from here on carries this reference number in its title, instead of HubSpot's internal record ID.
5. Create your first quote
- Open any deal that has at least one line item and one associated contact.
- In the deal's right-hand sidebar, find the DoQuotes card.
- Click Create Quote. DoQuotes creates a quote from your portal's default quote template, with the sender, the deal's line items and the buyer contacts already filled in.
- Click Publish, then open the published quote to confirm it renders.
- From the same card you can also Clone a quote, Recall a published quote back to draft, or mark it signed.

What's next: buyer-facing Revenue Hub modules
If your portal has Revenue Hub Professional or Enterprise, you can add DoQuotes' Field and Layout modules to a quote template so buyers can answer questions directly on the published quote — a PO number, a delivery date, a service tier — with every answer writing straight back to HubSpot. See Set-Up Guide: How to install DoQuotes Modules for Revenue Hub Quotes.
